Why a virtual studio?

Virtual Studios have become an essential part of todays broadcast and film production facilities. They add a new dimension to shooting in the studio and make it less costly. How do Virtual Studios work?

The heart of a virtual studio is formed by a technique known as chroma-keying. Chroma keying is a technigue that replaces a certain color in the picture with a set of formatted computer graphics.
